The forming process of PP hollow board mainly includes the following steps:
1、 Raw material preparation
Material selection: High quality polypropylene (PP) resin is selected as the raw material to ensure the basic performance of the board.
Drying and mixing: Dry the raw materials to remove moisture and prevent problems such as bubbles during the production process. Then, according to production needs, polypropylene is mixed with other additives, color masterbatch, etc. to ensure the uniformity of the raw materials.
2、 Extrusion molding
Preheating and melting: The mixed PP resin raw materials are sent into a professional extruder, and under the action of high temperature and high pressure, the raw materials gradually melt and plasticize under the push of the extruder screw. During this process, it is necessary to precisely control the temperature of the extruder to ensure uniform melting of the raw materials and avoid problems such as melt rupture. Usually, the heating temperature should be below 270 ℃ to avoid deterioration of PP material.
Mold extrusion: The molten plastic is continuously pushed forward, forming a hollow structure through a special mold. The design and manufacturing accuracy of molds are crucial, determining the thickness, shape, and dimensional accuracy of the sheet metal.
3、 Inflation and stabilization treatment
Blowing: Blowing the initially formed sheet metal with compressed air or mechanical means to form a hollow structure of the required thickness.
Stabilization treatment: Stabilize the inflated board by adjusting temperature, pressure, etc. to maintain its shape and performance stability.
4、 Cooling and shaping
Cooling: Place the inflated PP hollow board into a cooling water tank or use other methods to cool it and shape it. The cooling system rapidly cools the inflated PP hollow board, helping to maintain its stable shape.
Hot pressing and cooling shaping: Place the cooled PP hollow board into a hot press machine and perform hot pressing treatment at a certain temperature and pressure to make it denser and more stable. Then, place it in a cooling device for cooling and shaping to ensure its shape and performance are stable.
5、 Cutting and organizing
Cutting: Cut PP hollow boards into different specifications and sizes as needed. Cutting equipment such as cutting saws cut continuous PP hollow boards into specified lengths or widths according to preset dimensions.
Organizing and packaging: Stack the cut PP hollow boards and protect and label them with appropriate packaging methods for transportation and use.
During the entire molding process, the following points should also be noted:
Accurately control parameters such as temperature, pressure, and speed of the extruder to ensure the uniformity and stability of the sheet metal.
Conduct quality inspection on the produced hollow boards, including visual inspection, size measurement, performance testing, etc., to ensure that the product quality meets the standards.
In addition, selecting appropriate production processes such as extrusion, molding, or thermoforming based on production needs can further improve production efficiency and product quality. These process methods have their own characteristics, such as extrusion process having the advantages of simple process, high production efficiency, and high degree of automation; The molding process has the advantages of high molding accuracy, smooth surface, and the ability to be made into composite materials.
